Providence Software Solutions provides cutting edge technology and superb customer service for all your business telecommunications needs.

Telecommunications, also known as telecom, is the exchange of information over significant distances by electronic means and refers to all types of voice, data and video transmission. This is a broad term that includes a wide range of information-transmitting technologies and communications infrastructures, such as wired phones; mobile devices, such as cellphones; microwave communications; fiber optics; satellites; radio and television broadcasting; the internet; and telegraphs.

A complete, single telecommunications circuit consists of two stations, each equipped with a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter and receiver at any station may be combined into a single device called a transceiver. The medium of signal transmission can be via electrical wire or cable also known as copper optical fiber, electromagnetic fields or light. The free space transmission and reception of data by means of electromagnetic fields is called wireless communications.

Types of telecommunications networks

The simplest form of telecommunications takes place between two stations, but it is common for multiple transmitting and receiving stations to exchange data among themselves. Such an arrangement is called a telecom network. The internet is the largest example of a telecommunications network. On a smaller scale, examples include the following:

  • Corporate and academic wide area networks (WANs).
  • Telephone networks
  • Cellular networks
  • Network planning, support and deployment
  • Strategic Consulting
  • Site Acquisition and Permitting
  • RF Installations and Commissioning

Technologies and methods

We are proficient in PtP Multi-Vendor MW bands ranging from 11Ghz to 80Ghz which includes Radio Design, Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance. PTP solutions provide long-range, high capacity throughput in Line of Sight (LOS), near Line of Sight (nLOS) or Non Line of Sight (NLOS) situations.

We have competencies in Multi-Vendor PtMP - MW bands, 10Ghz/26GHz/28GHz which includes Radio Design, Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance.

Passive fibre optic multiplexers and splitters provide solutions for network operators to maximise existing fibre infrastructure.

used in telecommunications

The communication satellites are similar to the space mirrors that help us bounce signals such as radio, internet data, and television from one side of the earth to another. Three stages are involved, which explain the working of satellite communications, which are, Uplink, Transponders and Downlink

Dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM)

Dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) is an optical fiber multiplexing technology that increases the bandwidth of fiber networks.DWDM or dense WDM can have up to 128 channels with 37.5GHz spacing of each channel. Those channels can be up to 400G or greater but may need wider spacing depending on how far you want to go. While at the same time they can be amplified for long distances.

The GPON architecture has asymmetric and symmetric broadband services, Integrated Service Digital Network (ISDN), POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), and the narrowband service for use in telephone lines. GPON is creating new opportunities for telecommunication operators and also improving the existing phone services. GPON consists of several components that reduce the amount of fiber, equipment, and general costs as compared to the point to point architectures.

Fixed Wireless Access

Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) serves as an effective option to extend high-speed internet broadband to areas that have either insufficient or no broadband access, particularly remote and rural areas where fiber is slow and expensive to install and maintain.
